This video offers a glimpse of Canada’s first social prescribing pilot for children and youth, which took place at the Vanier Community Services Centre between 2023/2024 thanks to the Mental Health Promotion Innovation Fund from the Public Health Agency of Canada.

Social Prescribing is a means of allowing health professionals to emphasize the non-medical aspects of the child, which contributes to their overall health. It allows children to build on their strengths to get connected to their community, by focusing on what matters to them.
