This Community Newsletter is provided by Niagara Region Homelessness Services.  It includes updates on what has been happening in Niagara’s homelessness serving system.  The newsletter has been expanded to include more information on initiatives to combat homelessness in Niagara.

The July 2021 edition highlights:

  • Niagara Region web content updated in spring 2021, for Homelessness Services and the 10-year Housing and Homelessness Action Plan
  • Establishment of a Quality By-Name List to provide up-to-date information on people experiencing homelessness across the region, to support coordinated access to housing resources available.
  • Niagara’s third Point-in-Time Count (PiT) that had taken place on March 23, 2021. The count found 665 people experiencing homelessness. This includes 121 children (0 -15 years), and 24 seniors (65 plus).
