The unemployment-to-job vacancy ratio in Canada is at a historical low, amid a record tight labour market. This one-page summary is based on Statistics Canada Labour Force Survey and Job Vacancy and Wage Survey data.  It shows trends from the first quarter of 2016 to the same period in 2022.

Data is presented for the five primary sectors driving total job vacancies: Manufacturing; Health Care and Social Assistance; Construction; Retail Trade; and Accommodation and Food Services.
