Aging is a part of life: one that includes numerous memorable milestones and experiences, special moments with family, and opportunities to travel and learn new skills. But growing older can also bring about new challenges – increased prevalence of chronic diseases, memory loss, an increase in slips and falls and, in many cases, social isolation. Luckily, there is something we can do every day to make it possible to feel strong, maintain mobility and stay independent throughout our lifetime and into our golden years. That “something” is physical activity.
