Niagara Region Transit is a pilot project under agreement between the major municipal transit service providing municipalities – St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Welland, and Niagara Region. Niagara Region Transit provides hourly transit service Monday through Saturday connecting the downtowns of these three major cities in Niagara plus supplements the feeder services funded by the City of Port Colborne and the City of Fore Erie to make them year round. The pilot project is valid until early Sep 2014. Currently there is discussion underway to come up with options for the future of NRT beyond the September 2014 period.
