CMHA Niagara is committed to Quality Client Service. This process starts with listening to the right people in order to better inform program development. The Board recently established a goal of obtaining input from at least 100 clients. Results have included some dramatic changes to CMHA Niagara programs, such as the establishment of an immediate services division. CMHA Niagara’s commitment to quality was recently recognized by Accreditation Canada with the award of Accreditation with Exemplary Standing.

This year a key strategic goal for the Board is: “Align service delivery and explore synergies that enhance client service”. This speaks to CMHA Niagara’s continued focus on systems development and good partnerships. Consequently, the Board of Directors of CMHA Niagara is proud to be one of the first agencies to officially endorse the Mental Health and Addictions Charter. At a direct service level, CMHA Niagara has actioned its strategic goal by sponsoring the new 24/7 Mental Health and Addictions Access Line.

CMHA Niagara is invested in its cross-sectorial work on behalf of Niagara citizens. They are involved in various initiatives that have helped to develop the Mental Health and Addictions Charter, the Living in Niagara Report, Getting There (transportation initiative), ReThink Niagara Systems Strategy, and many others.

As we move forward to define our future as Niagara citizens, we know that one question will constantly move us forward: How do we provide the very best quality services for citizens of Niagara within our current resources? The Board of Directors and staff of CMHA Niagara welcome opportunities to answer this question.
