Brock University is becoming a leader in transdisciplinary research. This report describes five research hubs at Brock University, including the challenges they address; their response to the challenges; the results of their activities to date; and their vision for the future:

  • Advanced Biomanufacturing Centre
  • Brock-Niagara Centre for Health and Well-Being
  • Environmental Sustainability Research Centre
  • Jack and Nora Walker Centre for Lifespan Development Research
  • Social Justice Research Institute

The research hubs have been established to build partnerships with the local, national and international community, both to learn from community members and to share what the hubs generate through their research. Taken together, the hubs cover the whole spectrum of societal concerns, ranging from the commercialization of discoveries in the laboratory to grappling with the meanings and practical applications of social justice.
