The City of Mississauga is building an urban agriculture strategy to help identify the City’s role in supporting Corporate and community efforts to increase urban-scale food production across Mississauga.  The strategy is part of the city’s Climate Change Action Plan. The plan is built around the central vision that Mississauga will be a low-carbon and resilient community. This vision is the long-term outcome that the City aims to achieve over the next 30 plus years.

Through the urban agriculture strategy, the City will work to encourage healthier lifestyles, empower the community to learn new skills about growing and harvesting produce, and support local businesses with ties to urban agriculture.
