NRT OnDemand is a ridesharing pilot project for communities in West Niagara. The new service launches Monday, August 17, 2020. Rather than operating on a fixed route like conventional transit services, NRT OnDemand lets riders request trips in real-time through an app, or over the phone by selecting a pickup point and destination.

Fares allow riders to travel from their location to the pre-set destination they select when they book their ride. This is a flat-fee service; the price will never increase based on the rider’s location or service area. For a $3 fare, residents of Grimsby, Lincoln and Pelham can access trips within their municipality. For a $6 fare, residents of Grimsby, Lincoln, Pelham, Wainfleet and West Lincoln can access trips to other communities.

NRT OnDemand riders arriving at any of Niagara Regional Transit’s three transit hubs (St. Catharines Bus Terminal; Welland Bus Terminal; Port Colborne City Hall) can transfer onto Regional or local transit to complete their trip.
