Dr. Kate Cassidy of Youth University interviewed 44 Niagara employers to find out what they were looking for when hiring young people. Niagara employers seek job candidates with credentials and the ability to talk about hard and soft skills developed within meaningful educational, work, and life experiences. Overall, employers are satisfied with the credentials, knowledge, and hard skills they are seeing in graduates, but feel that soft skills could be improved.
