Obtaining a post-secondary education credential is increasingly vital for people aiming to be gainfully employed in a region seeking to transform itself from a manufacturing-based to a knowledge-based economy. Yet, Niagara lags quite behind other areas of Ontario in terms of the percentage of our population that has had post secondary education.

Guests Kate Cassidy, director of Youth University at Brock University and Cindy Paskey, executive director, Education Foundation of Niagara (EFN) join host Barry Wright from the Niagara Community Observatory to discuss Niagara’s post secondary education situation and ways to improve it.

In the Consider This podcast series researchers dissect issues and events happening all around us – from the end of our street to the other side of the globe – as a way of exploring how we can move forward in the face of these.
