The United Way of Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie connects, leverages and encourages relationships to build a better community. This includes leading awareness and advocacy campaigns related to the importance of social work and addressing social problems and community needs, providing not-for-profit agencies with funding to deliver programs and services, and facilitating community relationships and resources in a neutral manner to ensure that organizations work collaboratively to solve community issues/challenges. The organization also hosts regular workshops, round table discussion, and networking events for those in the non-for-profit sector related to proposal writing, media training, managing volunteers, leadership development, measurement training, etc. The work of the United Way Niagara Falls and Greater Fort Erie is also highlighted in the Sustainable Niagara Action Database.
