Niagara Housing Statement 2021 – Core Housing Need and Supply
This infographic illustrates the housing landscape in the Niagara region of Ontario. It projects the need for future housing stock; and it informs strategies that improve access to adequate, suitable and affordable housing.
According to Statistics Canada, a household in core housing need is one whose dwelling is considered unsuitable, inadequate, or unaffordable and whose income levels are such that they could not afford alternative suitable and adequate housing in their community.
