Bringing together educators, student youth, administrators, parents, and community services/organizations through workshops and keynote addresses, the Youth Summit will explore research findings, youth voice, educator impact, and parent and community engagement in Ontario schools surrounding systematic barriers in secondary education. Examining socio-economic issues and its effects on academic achievement and wellness, the Youth Summit will engage curriculum-making focused on a human rights framework.
Featured Keynote Speaker: Britta B., spoken word artist, arts educator
Britta B. is the featured keynote speaker for the Youth Summit and Spoken Word Showcase. Her keynote will motivate new knowledge for all participants of the summit. In addition, Britta will facilitate two creative writing and self-expression workshops for youth.
