This presentation will talk about the Skills for Safer Living group that was recently piloted for youth ages 13-16 which included an accompanying parent group.
The goals of the group include:
- Regenerate a sense of hope for living
- Educate & provide emotional support
- Decrease duration, intensity & frequency of suicide ideation
Hear from two of the facilitators, Angela Weber-Thompson who co-facilitated the group for youth and Sheila Perkin who co-facilitated the group for the parents. What were the skills taught? What were the learnings? Would you teach the group again?
This webinar is hosted by Umind.
