Youth Friendly Communities have great ideas. Join Parks and Recreation Ontario for the first of their no cost webinar series on the Good Practices of YFC’s, made possible through a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.

The webinar presenters will be:

  • Mayor Don McGugan, Municipality of Brooke-Alvinston, presenting on the Provincial Volunteer Award. The municipality nominates youth on an annual basis for this award who have made an impact in the community.
  • Stephanie DeLaronde, County of Brant, presenting on the Snow Buddies volunteer and employment program, where youth get involved with their community by shoveling snow and raking leaves for adults.
  • Kim Rolson, City of Brantford, presenting on the Brantford City Council’s page program, a volunteer opportunity for hands-on learning in council chambers and to connect youth to the City’s elected officials.

If you are interested in learning about the unique ways communities are servicing 13-19 year olds, Register for the Good Practices Webinar.

This webinar is hosted by Parks and Recreation Ontario.
