With more professionals retiring than ever before, a valuable talent pool is often overlooked. For the past year, the York Entrepreneurship Development Institute (YEDI) has connected seniors with emerging entrepreneurs via a unique mentorship program.
Through the “Roots to Flowers Program,” senior mentors participate in monthly expert panels, one-on-one mentoring, social networking events and useful seminars. The aim of the program is to reduce social isolation among seniors while helping entrepreneurs gain access to valuable skills and expertise.
In this webinar, you will hear more about the program and learn useful communication methods to assist in your work with seniors and age-friendly communities.
This webinar is hosted by the Age-Friendly Community Planning Outreach Initiative.
