As employers, nonprofits have a legal responsibility for making workplaces healthy, safe, and harassment-free. As a sector, we want to champion decent work practices in our own organizations.

Ontario’s action plan, It’s Never Okay: An Action Plan to Stop Sexual Violence and Harassment, has led to new legal obligations for all employers to ensure every workplace has a policy and program dealing with harassment.

Did you know that as of September 8, 2016:

  • Workers have enhanced legal protections from harassment in the workplace?
  • Workers are protected from harassment from anyone, not just other co-workers?
  • Employers have new legal obligations to take proactive steps to protect workers from harassment?
  • These obligations apply if you have even just one part-time worker?

To learn more about this legislative change and what you should do to make sure your organization is in compliance, register for this new webinar presented by the Public Services Health and Safety Association and the Ontario Ministry of Labour. The webinar will be relevant to managers, staff, and volunteer board members of non-profits with one or more staff.

This webinar is hosted by the Ontario Nonprofit Network.
