The Walk Friendly Communities program was developed to encourage towns and cities across the U.S. to establish or recommit to a high priority for supporting safer walking environments. The program recognizes communities that are working to improve a wide range of conditions related to walking, including safety, mobility, access, and comfort.

This webinar will feature an in-depth look at the Walk Friendly Communities assessment tool and offer ideas and inspiration to cities and towns that want to take the next step in building safe, comfortable and connected walking environments.

Panelists from current Walk Friendly Communities and Mayor’s Challenge participant cities will talk about their experience with both programs and offer inspiration to cities looking to enhance their own walkability and pedestrian safety.
