This webinar aims to increase awareness in the substance use service sector about evidence-based/informed prevention initiatives.
The webinar will feature three speakers:
- Sharif Mahdy, from The Students Commission of Canada, Centre for Excellence in Youth Engagement, will discuss the use of participatory-action research to inform program development using a cannabis project as a case study example.
- Alexander Lowell, Youth REX, York University, will discuss strategies for integrating evidence into practice, barriers and how to address them.
- Maria Papadimitriou, Delisle Youth Services, will provide a Toronto-based example of an evidence based/informed prevention program, including how the program was developed.
The webinar will include a Q&A session.
