This webinar aims to increase awareness in the substance use service sector about evidence-based/informed prevention initiatives.

The webinar will feature three speakers:

  1. Sharif Mahdy, from The Students Commission of Canada, Centre for Excellence in Youth Engagement, will discuss the use of participatory-action research to inform program development using a cannabis project as a case study example.
  2. Alexander Lowell, Youth REX, York University, will discuss strategies for integrating evidence into practice, barriers and how to address them.
  3. Maria Papadimitriou, Delisle Youth Services, will provide a Toronto-based example of an evidence based/informed prevention program, including how the program was developed.

The webinar will include a Q&A session.
