The Poppy Project is a collaborative community ART PROJECT by the Niagara Falls History Museum in conjunction with Stick ‘N Needles Guild. The Museum is inviting you to work on this large scale installation of knit and crochet poppies to drape over the exterior of the Museum for Remembrance Day. Our goal is 2500 poppies by September.

The public is asked to create these poppies at home or at the Museum (once it is reopened) at regularly scheduled events throughout 2020. During the current crisis, we would love to see social media posts with you making poppies #nfpoppyproject and tag the Museum. Until the museum reopens, please keep your poppies at home. We will be developing plans for drop off once the museum is back open.

Members of the Stick’N Needles Guild will be on hand to help participants with the poppy patterns. Coffee, tea and yarn will be provided at these events, but please bring your own needles or hook if you have them.

This event is brought to you by the Niagara Falls History Museum and the Stick’N Needles Guild
