UPDATE: This event has been cancelled.

The purpose of this event is to launch a new awareness campaign that focuses on the 1m safe passing law and the need for cyclists to have lights on their bikes. The campaign includes a 30 second video clip and print materials and is meant to inform road users across Ontario about how people on bikes and in cars can safely share the road.

The following dignitaries will be invited to deliver 3 to 5 minute addresses each:

  • The Honourable Minister of Transportation Steven Del Duca
  • The Honourable Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport Eleanor McMahon
  • Her Worship Mayor Crombie, Mayor of Mississauga

The event will be MC’d by Jamie Stuckless, Executive Director of the Share the Road Cycling Coalition.
