Various lines of evidence have established that mental, nutritional, and physical health are inter-related and nutritional interventions aimed at mental health contribute to a broad range of positive health outcomes.
In 2014, a national, multi-stakeholder consultation was completed that identified nutrition and mental health research priorities in Canada. The CIHR-funded project led by the Dietitians of Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association, Ontario and the University of British Columbia’s School of Nursing, resulted in a comprehensive and prioritized research agenda that is intended to guide collaborative research and knowledge exchange activities across the nutrition and mental health sectors.
The webinar will share the Canadian research agenda for nutrition and community health and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
This webinar is hosted by CMHA Ontario, Dietitians of Canada, and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
