This year’s Random Act of Kindness Day takes place Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, and residents of Niagara are encouraged to embrace the spirit of the day by paying forward small acts of kindness.
Those kind acts will include surprise visits to school kids from Niagara IceDogs mascot Bones and the Niagara Region’s Waste Management Mascots. Niagara College and Brock University students will be partnering with the Snow Buddies program and raking leaves for seniors.
The District School Board of Niagara, the Niagara Catholic District School Board and Niagara Regional Police will be partnering to spread and recognize kindness at our Niagara high schools. This initiative is being supported by the Niagara IceDogs, Niagara River Lions, YMCA of Niagara and the Outlet Collection at Niagara.
The Niagara Community Foundation invites everyone to share their kind deeds on Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #RAKday. You can follow Random Act of Kindness Day Niagara on Twitter at @RAKDayNiagara and on Facebook.
