Niagara Region will be holding a series of public meetings to provide information and consult with residents about future development of the area surrounding four proposed GO Train stations.
In 2016, the Province confirmed daily GO Train service to three station locations: Grimsby, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, with a fourth potential future station location in Beamsville (Town of Lincoln).
The Public Information Centres, set for dates in June, will provide an opportunity for residents to learn about the status of the Niagara GO Hub and Transit Stations Study initiated by Niagara Region in 2015. The study will determine appropriate land uses for each proposed site, including scale of development and improvements to infrastructure required to accommodate future growth within the station area.
The public meetings will all take place from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. with a presentation at 6:30 p.m.:
- Niagara Falls – June 15 – Niagara Falls Public Library (LaMarsh Room), 4848 Victoria Avenue
- St. Catharines – June 19 – Ridley College (2nd Century Building), 2 Ridley Road
- Grimsby – June 22 – Grimsby Town Hall (Council Chamber), 160 Livingston Avenue
- Beamsville – June 27 – Fleming Centre (Front Lobby), 5020 Serena Drive
