This is the first time the IEPA conference will be organized with colleagues in South America, and holding the conference virtually will be a great opportunity for IEPA to explore ‘New Frontiers in Early Intervention’ as well as using digital and social media during the pandemic to reach a wide audience across the world.
The conference will stimulate scientists, clinicians, people with lived experience of mental health problems and family members from around the world to present innovative and culturally significant research and clinical innovations in youth mental health and early intervention.
The promotion of mental health is not just for specialists but for everyone in the community including people with lived experience, clinicians, educators, family members, scientists, and industry. Reaching new frontiers requires a fresh vision and novel strategies. Producing the conference online fits perfectly with these aims as it will allow us to keep registration fees to a minimum and reach a wider audience than a traditional conference could possibly include.
The virtual conference represents an opportunity for IEPA to inspire the world with a perspective of hope in prevention research, in therapy and service organization in mental health. We are certain all of you find this conference stimulating, rewarding and meaningful.
