Heart Niagara’s Picnic on the Q

Support Heart Niagara, a community that eats together is stronger.

Heart Niagara would like to celebrate living in the heart of the community by hosting Picnic on the Q. The event will feature an intimately casual and jovial atmosphere, eating together, with mouth-watering food you can bring yourself or order from Queen Street business, first-rate entertainment, and a 50/50 draw.

Your contribution of $120 will provide you with 6-8 chairs, a table, table covering and entertainment.

A Community That Eats Together; sharing a meal is a simple, yet sacred occasion. It is a universal act that is important to building relationships within people groups. Intentionally eating together creates time and space to engage in the spiritual and intellectual levels that are unique to human beings. Sharing food cultivates community because the implications of the meal extend beyond the time of eating together. While there are other places people meet, gathering around a meal is the most accessible because if nothing else, everyone must eat.

By eating together you will help raise funds for Heart Niagara and support an application to the 2018 Festival and Events grants to apply for a Guinness Book of Records for the longest picnic in 2018.
