Geriatric Mental Health: The Role of Non-Pharmacological Interventions in Dementia Care

Non-pharmacological therapies can be effective in treating the symptoms of dementia. They can help with both behavioural symptoms and memory problems.

This webinar will present information on the use of non-pharmacological interventions that could prevent or minimize agitated or aggressive behaviours in dementia care while optimizing the quality of life for individuals with dementia and their caregivers.

Specifically, the presentation will focus on:

• technological innovations, including assistive technology (e.g., tablets, apps) and robotics that facilitate patient engagement
• response measurement of these interventions using standardized tools to guide clinicians.
