United Way of St. Catharines & District

United Way of St. Catharines & District is currently accepting applications in the priority area “From Poverty to Possibility” for programs that meet basic human needs and move people out of poverty.

Letters of Intent are due February 10, 2017 at 4:30 pm. All applicants must submit a Letter of Intent for each proposed program before submitting an application.

Applications for Funding are due March 10, 2017. Applications without approved Letters of Intent will be ineligible for funding.

Successful applicants will receive funding for three years beginning July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2021.


  • Applications are welcome from registered charities and those collaborating with registered charities for the purpose of the proposed program(s).
  • While applications are welcome for programs currently funded by United Way, applications for new and innovative programs are also welcome.
  • Proposed programs must be delivered from and serve the residents of Grimsby, Lincoln, Niagara-on-the-Lake, St. Catharines, Thorold, and/or West Lincoln.
