ASIST is a two-day workshop that provides practical training for caregivers seeking to prevent the immediate risk of suicide.

Participants in the workshop learn how to:

  • Recognize invitations to help
  • Reach out and offer support
  • Review the risk of suicide
  • Apply a suicide intervention model
  • Link people with community resources

Registration fee includes two days of instruction, workshop materials, comprehensive book, and wallet card.

Certificate received upon completion of the workshop. Certificates awarded at discretion of trainers based on appropriate participation. Attendance is required for full two days to receive certificate.

Learning formats include use of simulations, role-playing, group discussions, etc.

Participants are responsible for their own refreshments and lunch.
