Come celebrate an annual weekend gathering of Indigenous Arts, Culture and Tradition

Presented by FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre & Kakekalanicks Indigenous Consulting Company

This year, the PAC will proudly host a curated program of Indigenous music, dance, film, teachings and traditional arts, as well as engaging workshops and distinguished speakers. The PAC’s backyard will open each day with a Sunrise Ceremony, host vendors and teachings as well as Saturday’s powerful Procession of Nations.

Under the leadership of Artistic Director Michele-Elise Burnett (Métis with Algonquin roots, Bear Clan) and Artistic Producer Tim Johnson (Mohawk), this annual partnership brings community together to honour and celebrate the heritage, culture and achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples of Turtle Island and beyond.

This year’s marquee events include:

  • Homelands by Kaha:wi Dance Theatre on Fri 8 Sept
  • Border Crossing / Blues featuring Digging Roots and The Ripcords on Sat 9 Sept
  • Living Mino Bimaadiziwin: An Indigenous Journey through the Arts exhibition
  • Closing concert featuring Tonemah + full band on Sun 10 Sept
