Over the summer of 2019, Pathstone Mental Health has been busy working with communities across the Niagara region, resulting in the creation of eight Hear & Now Walk In Clinics. These clinics, operated by Pathstone, offer one-on-one mental health counselling for children and youth up to age 18 and their families. Services are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, at no cost and no health card is required.

This aligns with Pathstone’s commitment as a signatory to the Niagara Mental Health and Addictions Charter (2014).

Shaun Baylis, CEO of Pathstone Mental Health, notes, “We acknowledged the need to offer increased access in communities across Niagara, and determined that this is the most effective approach. Offering immediate mental health counselling, which we know is essential, means kids are heard, without delay, as soon as they seek support. We are grateful that so many partners were eager to walk shoulder to shoulder with us on this effort.”
