The goal of Pathstone Mental Health is to create a child and youth mental health system that makes sense to those who use it. Effective October 31, 2023, if your child/youth is under 18, living in Niagara, and needs mental health services, you can directly connect with Pathstone by phone, or through our website.

We have listened closely to what families have been saying to us about the struggles they’ve experienced, getting child/youth mental health care. We are improving the way in which families get to us, and are addressing wait list issues that have long plagued the system.

Shaun Baylis, Pathstone CEO points out that a funding reallocation by the Ontario Ministry of Health has allowed Pathstone to hire more clinical staff, who will get to kids sooner. Through diligent work on this transition, our team is ready to accelerate how mental health care is delivered. Sarah Cannon, Pathstone’s Family Engagement Lead & System Planner notes that this change gives families peace of mind, reassuring them that once they reach out to us, they are exactly where they need to be.

System shifts are happening elsewhere too. Along with Pathstone in Niagara, Woodview Autism and Mental Health Services in Brantford is undergoing this shift October 31st, 2023. In January, 2024, Lynwood Charlton Centre in Hamilton will also adopt the shift.

Starting October 31, 2023, to access mental health care for your child (under 18) who lives in Niagara, contact Pathstone directly, by phone or online:
